my odds & ends

Those incidental little things left over when a project is completed can soon turn into so much clutter. I sift through these odds and ends, gather them together and store them in pretty boxes and jars to inspire me for the next big thing.

I have boxes and boxes of ribbon, wound onto card, tied into bunches and colour-coded; a large box of ribbon short-ends; big jars of buttons; small jars of buttons; strings of beads hidden in boxes; jars of beads; a box of assorted cotton thread; see-through boxes of cotton thread, sorted and stacked in rows; boxes of jars; boxes of tins; boxes of boxes; a pretty wooden box of embroidery cottons and silks; a box of tassels; boxes of rose-scented pot-pourri; a deep drawer-full of sewing patterns; and a stack of vintage Vogue magazines.
